Job Vacancy: Assistant Wardens

Assistant Warden couple required. Work to include reception (computerised booking system), shop, cleaning of the amenity blocks, groundwork and maintenance. Previous experience is not necessary as training will be given. Applicants should be self-motivated, outgoing with excellent people skills. They must be enthusiastic and willing to work, and live, as part of our friendly team.

You will be working five days out of seven, possibly rising to 6 days in the High Season. The position will also include evenings on call and working weekends and Bank Holidays.
This is a Seasonal position with a start date to be discussed, ending around the end of October.

VACANCIES FOR TWO PARK WARDENS

We are looking for a charismatic couple to complete our hard working, driven, passionate Team at Oakdown, with excellent inter personal skills, compassion, empathy and determination and the ability to work with minimum supervision as well as, and most importantly, within a Team.

A pair that can add to the dynamics, be willing to work as part of a team, support each other, communicate with ease, enjoy some humour and above all have that all important built in smile and dedication to helping us provide the best holiday experience possible. Our multi award winning Touring and Holiday Caravan Park was the first Five Star rated Park in the area and we pride ourselves on first class, spotless facilities and most importantly first class customer service and ultimately an unforgettable holiday for our guests.

The vacancies are full time, working 5 days (Wednesday through to Sunday incl) in a 7 day period and are contracted annually on a permanent basis for seasonal work. Evening duties ‘on call’ with a pager system (on a Rota basis with other Staff) are required throughout the season.

Luxury high spec Holiday Caravan accommodation is provided- so no bills to pay!

We like to invest in our Team and believe heavily in training- if you are the couple we are looking for, you will be attending St Johns Ambulance training for emergency assistance -First Aid and Fire Marshal, Welcome All and COSHH training as well as in house training of the everyday roles and duties.

Our staff members each have a specific responsibility within the overall functioning of the Park. Each of equal importance to the overall quality holiday and facilities we provide. The specific responsibilities for each vacancy are below but some small changes may occur due to Staff restructuring,

Duties for one new Team member:

Creating and maintaining our high standard of sparkle in our unique Glamping Accommodation and amenities on any changeovers.
Assisting in the magic of our Leisure Lodge cleaning Team Changeover throughout short breaks season and high season Fri/Sat changeovers.
Maintaining our high level of cleanliness and sparkle in our Amenities, working alone and alongside our outstanding Cleaning Team.
Keeping our guests safe with clipboard in hand carrying out the all-important weekly Fire and Playground safety Checks. Recording and filing results in accordance with our procedures.
At times it may be necessary to do some reception work or any other one-off duties at the Managers request.

Duties for other new Team member:

Maintaining our high level of cleanliness and sparkle in our Amenities, working alone and alongside our outstanding Cleaning Team.
Acting as a ‘Groundsperson’ tending the plants and shrubs within the Park, keeping Oakdown as immaculate as it is doesn’t come easy… lots of work on maintaining our beauty is of great importance.
Whizzing around with great care and attention, keeping our perfectly manicured lawns at the perfect length with our ride on mowers.
Daily Caravan Towing from our secure storage onto allocated pitches, levelling the caravan ready for our guests to enjoy. Experience is necessary in order to keep up the pace, with confidence and care.
Escorting our much valued Guests to their allocated pitch, giving them your time, interest and attention, offering your assistance, going the extra mile wherever needed.
Not so glamourous but of equal importance..daily refuse collection and disposal- helping us maintain the perfect Park.
Sparkle doesn’t just appear in our toilet blocks and facilities but in our
machinery too…casting an eye over general machinery maintenance and care.
At times it may be necessary to carry out other one-off duties at the Managers request.

We are looking for a positive and highly motivated couple to join our Team. This is a full time Seasonal position running from April until the end of September.

The Park has privately owned Caravan Holiday Homes together with a letting fleet of caravans and lodges, touring and camping pitches and Camping Pods

We are looking for touring wardens who give our customers in our touring, tenting and glamping area a 5 star service.

You will welcome new arrivals, prepare pitches for arrivals, do general grounds work and a bit of gardening, clean our touring block, look after our Glamping Pods, check that all of our customers are on the correct pitches and just be friendly !

This is not a 9-5 position and hours could vary and split shifts.

A free touring pitch will be given.In return for this you may be on call to deal with any emergencies or issues which may arise at times.

Duties will include cleaning, catering, bar work, gardening, meeting, greeting and pitching of guests, reception work, changing of beds etc in B & B and three mobile homes etc.
Applicants must be fit, honest, hard working and have good customer relation skills.
You need to be flexible with your working hours.

If you are naturists, great. If not, you will need to be happy dealing and working with naked guests and staff.

You will need your own caravan or camper in which to stay.
We will supply a serviced hard standing pitch, WiFi, use of washing machine and all facilities free of charge Plus pay per hour.

We are looking for a healthy, fit and active couple to assist us in the everyday activities and smooth running of our luxury campsite in North Devon.

Duties and responsibilities are varied and may include:-
• the general daily care and smooth running of the site including grounds maintenance, grass-cutting, and amenity cleaning
• assisting guests, showing them to their pitch and advising where required
• participation in the care of the animals (alpacas, chickens etc)
• involvement in park project work

To be considered for the position you will both need to have an easy-going demeanor, be quietly confident in your abilities, and enjoy helping others.

A positive state of mind is essential, as is adaptability. You will also need to be self-motivated and fully computer literate as there will be some reception work involved.Candidates must be focused on high standards of customer service, be flexible and willing to use their initiative as part of a team.

A touring pitch is provided to the couple as part of the contract.
