Brighouse Bay Holiday Park is situated 6 miles west of Kirkcudbright on the edge of the Solway Firth with beautiful views over the Irish Sea, towards Cumbria and the Isle of Man.
The Park is spacious with a country park feel, surrounded by acres and acres of farmland with signposted trails through ancient woodland, along the coastline and over our working livestock farm. There are has six wildlife, fishing and amenity ponds and our own sandy beach.
We have a 18 hole golf course; driving range; family putting green; outdoor bowls; coarse fishing; sea angling; indoor swimming pool, mini ten pin bowling and amusement room. It also boasts a café, lounge bar and a licenced shop.
We have shower blocks, laundry facilities and various pitches to cater for tents, trailer tents, touring caravans and motorhomes.
Brighouse Bay has owner occupied holiday homes and offers holiday accommodation for hire for weekly and short break bookings.

Job Vacancy: Maintenance/Operations Supervisor

We are a small family business looking for a Full Time Maintenance/Operations Supervisor for our holiday parks in the South West of Scotland.
The candidate will report to the Directors and will manage the parks maintenance and grounds team to ensure standards are maintained and health and safety requirements are adhered to.
The position incorporates a variety of jobs including the following:
• Assisting and organising the parks development work including buildings and pitches
• Co-ordinating maintenance work and personnel between our four holiday parks
• Ensuring maintenance jobs reported to Reception are addressed in a professional and timely manner
• Sourcing keen prices and placing orders with suppliers
• Arranging and liaising works with contractors
• Liaising with customers in handling and resolving maintenance issues to their holiday homes
• Co-ordinating the disconnection, moving and siting of static caravans on the parks
• Managing personnel to carry out their duties
• Ensuring all staff have carried out the necessary procedures and checks for the health and safety of staff and customers

The candidate needs to be hands on/practical, self-motivated, organised and prepared to undertake tasks to contribute towards the successful operation of the Parks. You need to have a good eye for detail and ideally working knowledge of electrical and plumbing with experience in managing people.

There will be administration and record keeping; therefore computer skills are necessary. Due to the nature of the job, you must be adaptable and flexible with your hours as this role will include some weekend work.

Job Vacancy: EDINBURGH Warden Couple Required

We have a vacancy for a Warden Couple initially working Monday afternoon trough to Friday morning, possibly until the end of August and then varied shifts from then on, a degree of flexibility to suit both sets of wardens is possible(currently 4 on 4 off)

The roles of the position are:

Ground maintenance roll:
Showing guests to pitches and accommodation and dealing with any issues quickly and professionally, general park and accommodation maintenance which could include refurbishments and accommodation construction, unblocking drains, working at height or in confined spaces, daily hot tub maintenance, cutting the grass using a ride on mower, hedge cutting,ground maintenance/general labouring which may include heavy lifting.
Moving caravans in and out of the storage area and parking customers caravan on arrival, refuge collections and recycling, helping maintain toilet blocks in cleaners absence, deal with any jobs that arise in a professional manner.

Reception roll:
Working alongside the wardens and a full time receptionist
you will be operating our computerised booking system (experience in using a computer is essential) dealing with telephone inquiries, emails and reservations, checking guests in, respond to inquiries and give general tourist information, helping the cleaners when they are busy, serving restocking and keeping clean our small onsite shop and information point, other jobs as they arise. You will need to be friendly enthusiastic flexible and motivated.

Previous experience on a camping & caravan park is not essential.

You will both be on call outwith opening hours, to show in late arrivals, deal with telephone enquiries and any other issues that may arise.

A willingness to learn, enthusiasm, common sense and the ability to take instruction are important.

You both need to be fit, motivated, flexible with a positive attitude to comfortably fit in with our existing team which include a warden couple, receptionist gardener and housekeeping team.

You will work varied hours during the year (longer days in summer and shorter days in winter)

All applicants must have a full driving licence

The position will require you to live onsite during your shift a caravan is available if you do not have your own.

Duties include

Cleaning: - Toilet blocks (1/2) depending on demand. Caravan holiday homes for hire, including laundry and ironing, and office to the very highest standards.

Park and ground works, general DIY and maintenance tasks, grass cutting using ride on mower, hand mower, strimmer, pruning, weed control and refuse collection. Ensuring the park is maintained to the highest of standards.

Evening Duties to cover late arrivals and check toilet facilities.

The successful applicants must be friendly, fit, outgoing and have excellent customer service skills. Must have experience in caravanning. Must be extremely flexible and be able to work as part of a small team.

The site is very large with roughly 200 tent pitches and at present 34 electric hook ups. It has a shower and toilet block with a shop/cafe nearby in a separate building still on site.

The campsite is located at the base of the Cuillin mountain range, is remote and right next to Glenbrittle beach Isle of Skye.
Seasonal positions: Immediate start till 30th Sep 2017, training onsite required early march. Hourly rate £8.
Shop onsite: selling essential groceries and camping equipment, freshly baked bread, tray bakes and pastries , The shop is also the reception area and office for booking Electric hook ups on site pitches etc. Answering the phone and emails daily.
The site: requires a lot of ongoing maintenance during the season anything from mowing the grass, fencing, cleaning toilets and showers, filling pot hole in track, fixing any problems that occur during the day to day running of the site, changing water filters and general cleanliness of site
The toilet and shower block: this needs attention all through the day to maintain high standards of cleanliness which reflects the nightly rate the campers pay.
Skills ideally required for all these roles are:
