Job Vacancy: Maintenance Person

We are looking for a full time Maintenance Person for our family holiday park in the South West of Scotland.
The candidate ideally requires a strong working knowledge of electrical and plumbing. It would be an advantage having LPG qualifications for caravans.
The position will incorporate the maintenance of electrical touring boxes, holiday home electric and gas appliances and general maintenance repairs to buildings on the parks.
Must be willing to get jobs done, be organised and conscientious. Provide good customer service and be able to work on own and as part of a team. Hours are flexible and will include part weekend work.

Barnsoul Caravan Park is situated just west of Dumfries and sits in the hills surrounded by farmland and woodland. Barnsoul has a mix of touring pitches, a fleet of 19 glamping units, 6 static caravans and 4 lodges.

We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated Maintenance Manager to lead our team of wardens and groundsman on both parks.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years experience working on a holiday park and will be capable of developing pitches; siting caravans, landscaping and completing customer repairs to all types of Static Caravans.

Responsibilities will include; managing health and safety for all external works, creating and running maintenance programmes, managing staff, stock control, siting caravans, looking after the parks’ infrastructure, boosting ancillary services for customers and taking responsibility for all plant and equipment including vehicles.

A full UK driving license is essential. Caravan Siting Training is essential. A good knowledge of plumbing would be beneficial. Gas Safe Qualifications would be an advantage.

Part Time Warden Couple wanted for a family caravan park, which is open 12 months of the year.

We are looking for a part-time warden couple to work 2-3 days per week plus possible extra hours during peak season and also to cover holidays, sickness, etc.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

We provide a free pitch for this position, with free electric, water and wifi, in return for covering 2-3 on call nights per week.

These positions would suit an energetic couple with previous experience of being responsible for and running a similar family friendly park. You would need to be fit, active, friendly, outgoing and be self-motivated and able to manage the workload between yourselves. You should have excellent customer service skills to ensure that visitors receive a high standard of service and should also enjoy being around children as our site is family orientated.

A knowledge of caravanning and camping plus relevant previous skills is required for these positions.

• cleaning and maintaining shower and toilet blocks (including water points and waste points)

One person would take on the role of Park Warden and be responsible for the majority of the above. The second person could take on a significant part of the duties above (for example regular cleaning and maintenance of the Toilets/Showers)

During peak times there may be additional work that could include housekeeping, shop work, maintenance work, support in the bar/restaurant and/or in the office.
During the slower months it would be expected that hours would be made up supporting the maintenance team and the general running of the park.

The warden couple will undertake a core of 45 hours per week. This may fluctuate depending on season.
