We have 200 pitches which are occupied by seasonal tourers and 20 pitches which are for touring and camping.

Facilities include: Laundry Room, Games Room, Ladies & Gents Toilets and Ladies & Gents showers.

There are four outdoor children's play areas and an indoor games room.

We also have 4 self catering holiday cottages and 3 self catering barn conversions.

Job Vacancy: Maintenance/cleaner

We are a family run holiday business requiring a part time cleaning/maintenance couple (live in) to help us.
This would entail an early start to the day ensuring that all the facilities are acceptable for the visitors and checking things over at various times during the day.
We are offering you accomodation whilst you are employed with us . This will be in leiu of your weekend work which is to oversee the smooth running of the site on a rota basis.
During the week we can offer both of you 20 hours work at £7.50 per hour.
This will entail some cleaning, gardening and general maintenance.
You will be made aware of the site layout regarding trip switches, fuse boards, stop taps, drainage points, manhole covers, hot tub maintenance etc. So that you will be able to attend to any problems that may arise.
Please don't be put off by the long list of tasks as they will only need doing as and when.

We are looking for a couple who are fit and able, with friendly and patient dispositions.
Our site is busy through school holidays but quiet at other times.
Cleaning of the 2 toilet blocks is essential - at quieter times twice a day at busy times 4 or 5 times a day with lots of checking in between.
The site has 3 hire caravans which are cleaned weekly.
With having 22 acres there is a lot of grass cutting and maintenance around the site.

Salcombe Regis Camping & Caravan Park is a 16 acre rural campsite located about 1.5 miles to the east of the regency Town of Sidmouth. We are licenced for 100 pitches plus 10 static caravans that we own and hire out for weekly or short break holidays.

Mark & Sally Langdown are the resident owners and are helped on site by Steve and Glennis Mabbott who reside on site 12 months of the year. We now require additional staff to join the team going forward.

Job Vacancy: Summer Wardens

Due to an increase in numbers of guests visiting us at Salcombe Regis we now have a vacancy for additional wardens to become part of our success. The post is seasonal and could be ongoing for the right candidates to return at the beginning of the following season.

The right couple will be fit and healthy as this is very much a hands on role that is both physical and demanding. There is the requirement to be flexible and work as part of the team in order to get the jobs done within set timescales so that we continue to present the Park in the highest possible way. This is both an outdoor and indoor role and working in all weather conditions.

Warden 1

i) Opening up workshop, preparing vehicles for the day, refuelling and bringing cart to reception.
ii) Early morning shower block inspection to check stock levels of paper and deal with any immediate cleaning issues. (During busy periods helped by warden 2.)
iii) Refuse collection from all of the bin points on site.
iv) Helping take caravans out to pitch with the tractor. Levelling on pitch and leaving secure ready for the customer arrival. Returning any caravans back to the storage area as required.
v) Deep clean of all shower block facilities (Can take up to 3 hours – both blocks) (During busy periods helped by warden 2.)
vi) Groundwork/Repairs/Maintenance. Consult with Steve and prioritise duties for the day. Jobs could be but not limited to: Grass cutting with petrol mowers (Ride on or push mowers), strimming, hedge cutting, raking leaves, weeding, fence painting, sweeping, pressure washing, static caravan cleaning (external), machinery maintenance, wall painting, window cleaning, furniture repairs and staining, plumbing repairs etc. etc.
vii) Taking to pitch. We show all of our customers to their allocated pitch. We all carry radios and reception will call if someone is needed. You respond if you are available and return to reception to greet customer. We assist the customer if required and provide all site and local information.
viii) Hours of work. 08:30 – 17:30 Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday. 08:30 – 13:30 Wednesday. Half Day off Wednesday pm from and full day off Thursday. Lunch every day 12:30 – 1:30. Late duty: 17:30 – 20:30 for 3 nights. Monday, Tuesday and alternate (Agreed with Steve) Friday/Saturday nights. During busy arrival nights (Bank Holidays/Folk Week) we are generally all on duty if expecting late arrivals.
ix) Site Security. Being vigilant at all times – checking on unauthorised vehicles, enforcing speed restriction, noise control, checking on restricted areas (staff only areas) to ensure they are secure, equipment inspections (Play area), closing down buildings after late duty.
x) Static Caravans. Assist warden 2 with cleaning during busy periods.

Warden 2

i) Checking with Reception to see if help is needed.
ii) Early morning shower block inspection to check stock levels of paper and deal with any immediate cleaning issues. (During busy periods assisting warden 1.)
iii) Shop Assistant. During busy periods assisting Glennis with shop sales and enquiries.
iv) Static Caravan Cleaning. Undertake any static caravan requiring cleaning to be done. This includes stripping beds if not done by guest, making the beds with fresh linen, cleaning kitchen, shower room and living area to maintain the high standard required. Checking all glassware and crockery for damages/smears and rectify. Vacuum. Report any maintenance issues or damages to reception. Each van takes 1.5 hours to clean properly. More than 3 will require assistance from Warden 1 and/or other staff.
v) Deep clean of all shower block facilities (Can take up to 3 hours – both blocks) (During busy periods assist Warden 1.)
vi) Lunch Time Reception Cover. Cover Glennis during her lunch break between 1:30 – 2:30pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
vii) Reception Cover. Provide cover for Glennis’s day off on Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. Looking after the shop and dealing with all booking and customer enquiries.
viii) Taking to pitch. We show all of our customers to their allocated pitch. We all carry radios and reception will call if someone is needed. You respond if you are available and return to reception to greet customer. We assist the customer if required and provide all site and local information.
ix) Groundwork/Repairs/Maintenance. Assisting on the Park as directed by Steve.
x) Hours of Work. 08:30 – 14:30 Friday, Saturday, Sunday. (With one hour for lunch 12:30 – 13:30). Monday 13:30 – 17:30 & Tuesday. 08:30 – 17:30. (With one hour for lunch 12:30 – 13:30). Wednesday. 08:30 – 13:30. Half Day Off Wednesday pm and Full Day Off Thursday.

We are offering the pay package as advertised plus a two bedroom mobile home located in our storage yard. Whereas there is an accommodation charge in line with HMRC guidelines it is below the recommended level and therefore a benefit in kind that enhances the overall package. All gas and electricity is included.

Job Vacancy: Cleaner/Warden Couple

We are looking for a couple to work as part of our team during our summer season, starting now and working through until the end of October.

Duties include - cleaning wigwams, Seaking Helicopter Glamping, toilet & shower facilities and wigwam kitchen, booking people in and out of Helicopter, wigwams and caravan /camping site, showing guests to wigwams/pitches, ground Maintenance, hedge cutting, mowing etc., site security, selling fire wood and to undertake general maintenance, repairs, painting and decorating around the park. Reception duties (rota), bike hire and maintenance.

A monthly salary will be paid throughout the season. You will be required to manage your working week. This will require you to work more (7days) in the busy parts of the season(school holidays, holiday cover, etc.) and less during the quieter times bearing in mind that you will be required to work every weekend and Bank Holiday from Easter through to the end ofOctober. We require a commitment to stay for the whole season.

Applicants should work well under pressure and as part of a team. Be able to work under their own initiative and prepared to work varied hours. Have a ready smile and be happy to tactfully deal with any problems that come their way.

A willingness to learn, initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humour are equally important. A clean, current driving licence is preferred.

The position does involve manual handling, strimming mowing and would suit a person who is generally fit and healthy. 44 hours a week including weekends and bank holidays.

The second position requires experience of bars and restaurant and be willing to clean caravans if required. Training will be given. 25 - 40 hours per week.
