We are looking for a couple to join our friendly, hard working team as Assistant Wardens. Position available immediately for the 2018 Season.

Duties include:-

- Reception work, working with a computerised booking system, answering telephone and email enquiries and taking bookings. Previous experience on all these aspects is required. Applicants should be competent with a previous booking system and computer literate.

- Outdoor work, including pitching customers, dealing with late arrivals, Health and Safety checks, touring block checks, and late night noise/nuisance monitoring.

- Site/Grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, aiding caravan movements, bin runs and odd jobs.

You should be people who enjoy working with the general public. Flexibility is key in this job role, previous experience and a sense of humour are also required!

Hours will vary and increase during busy periods and high season. You will be expected to work all weekends and bank holidays and be able to cope with the physically demanding aspect of the role, good physical fitness is important.

This position will provide a minimum of 40 hours weekly per person.

Job Vacancy: Full Time Warden couple

Full Time Warden couple

We are looking for a full-time warden couple to join our team, working a minimum of 5 days per week, including weekends. This site is open 12 months of the year. You will report to the site owners and have regular meetings to review, monitor and develop the park on an ongoing basis.

Would suit an energetic couple with previous experience of being responsible for and running a similar all year family friendly park. You should be fit, active, friendly, outgoing and self-motivated and able to manage the workload between yourselves and the Assistant Wardens. You must also be used to delegating and managing staff. You should have excellent customer service skills to ensure that visitors receive a high standard of service and should also enjoy being around children as our site is family orientated.

Previous touring park warden experience is desired but not essential for this position, but you must have caravanning experience.

Ideally we would like a couple who know the local area, but we will also consider applications from non-local couples too.

Main duties to include:
• Welcoming and checking in customers at reception, answering queries, giving
advice, maintaining order and site rules and providing information on a daily basis.
• Administering all daily touring park operations, including allocating pitches to customers, taking bookings and issuing security barrier cards and/or keys.
• Ensure the touring park, amenities block and reception block are kept clean, tidy and litter free at all times. Our standards are extremely high and these should be maintained at all times.
• Carry out grounds maintenance including carrying out lawn management work and other horticultural work as directed and to a very high standard.
• Completing basic DIY for general maintenance on site, ie leaky taps, replacing locks, etc
• Managing the touring park convenience shop located in the reception block efficiently and effectively, keeping it well displayed and stocked to appropriate levels.
• Carry out security checks on the site at set times through personal checks and CCTV monitoring.
• Respond to emergency/security call-outs to the site at any time including outside of normal working hours.
• Assist with advertising, promotion and marketing initiatives for the park.
• Assist with event planning and bookings on the park.
• Five nights on-call.

The couple will be provided with a static caravan which will be available for their use throughout their employment in return for covering 5 on call nights per week. Free electric and water included.

Blakemere Touring Park is open 12 months a year as it is located on Blakemere Village, a busy tourist attraction.

Sandgreen Caravan Park is situated on the South West Coast of Scotland, we have 200 privately owned static caravans, 3 hire fleet caravans and 24 lodges which overlook our own sandy private beach. Barnsoul Caravan Park is situated just west of Dumfries and sits in the hills surrounded by farmland and woodland. Barnsoul has a mix of touring pitches, a fleet of 19 glamping units, 6 static caravans and 4 lodges.

We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated Maintenance Manager to lead our team of wardens and groundsman on both parks.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years experience working on a holiday park and will be capable of developing pitches; siting caravans, landscaping and completing customer repairs to all types of Static Caravans.

Responsibilities will include; managing health and safety for all external works, creating and running maintenance programmes, managing staff, stock control, siting caravans, looking after the parks’ infrastructure, boosting ancillary services for customers and taking responsibility for all plant and equipment including vehicles.

A full UK driving license is essential. Caravan Siting Training is essential. A good knowledge of plumbing would be beneficial. Gas Safe Qualifications would be an advantage.

An excellent package which includes accommodation, if required, will be offered to the ideal applicant.
