Park description:

Brighouse Bay Holiday Park is situated 6 miles west of Kirkcudbright on the edge of the Solway Firth with beautiful views over the Irish Sea, towards Cumbria and the Isle of Man.
The Park is spacious with a country park feel, surrounded by acres and acres of farmland with signposted trails through ancient woodland, along the coastline and over our working livestock farm. There are has six wildlife, fishing and amenity ponds and our own sandy beach.
We have an indoor swimming pool; Jacuzzi; steam room; 18 hole golf course; driving range; pony trekking (seasonal); mountain bike trails; family putting green; mini ten pin bowling; amusement room; outdoor bowls; coarse fishing and sea angling. It also boasts a café, lounge bar and a licenced shop.
We have shower blocks, laundry facilities and various pitches to cater for tents, trailer tents, touring caravans and motorhomes.
Brighouse Bay has owner occupied holiday homes and offers holiday accommodation for hire for weekly and short break bookings.

Job Vacancy: Maintenance Person

We are looking for a full time Maintenance Person for our family holiday park in the South West of Scotland.
The candidate ideally requires a strong working knowledge of electrical and plumbing. It would be an advantage having LPG qualifications for caravans.
The position will incorporate the maintenance of electrical touring boxes, holiday home electric and gas appliances and general maintenance repairs to buildings on the parks.
Must be willing to get jobs done, be organised and conscientious. Provide good customer service and be able to work on own and as part of a team. Hours are flexible and will include part weekend work.
A full UK driving licence is required.

Note: We may have seasonal jobs that would suit a partner.

Experienced Maintenance Manager

Sandgreen Caravan Park is situated on the South West Coast of Scotland, we have 200 privately owned static caravans, 3 hire fleet caravans and 24 lodges which overlook our own sandy private beach. Barnsoul Caravan Park is situated just west of Dumfries and sits in the hills surrounded by farmland and woodland. Barnsoul has a mix of touring pitches, a fleet of 19 glamping units, 6 static caravans and 4 lodges.

We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated Maintenance Manager to lead our team of wardens and groundsman on both parks.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years experience working on a holiday park and will be capable of developing pitches; siting caravans, landscaping and completing customer repairs to all types of Static Caravans.

Responsibilities will include; managing health and safety for all external works, creating and running maintenance programmes, managing staff, stock control, siting caravans, looking after the parks’ infrastructure, boosting ancillary services for customers and taking responsibility for all plant and equipment including vehicles.

A full UK driving license is essential. Caravan Siting Training is essential. A good knowledge of plumbing would be beneficial. Gas Safe Qualifications would be an advantage.

An excellent package which includes accommodation, if required, will be offered to the ideal applicant.

Set within the beautiful grounds of Haughton House Country Park, Alford, Aberdeenshire and only 25 miles from Aberdeen. Haughton House Holiday Park, close to the river Don and only a 15 minute walk to the town centre of Alford.

The park has 60 touring pitches, 30 tent pitches, 40 privately owned caravan holiday homes, 3 holiday caravans for hire and 2 toilet blocks.

Haughton House Holiday Park seeks fit, active, outgoing persons as caravan park wardens from mid April to mid November 2018. There will be extra assistance with cleaning and ground maintenance during high season.

Duties include

Reception:- Welcoming and checking in customers at reception. Dealing with telephone enquiries, basic computer skills required to deal with e-mail enquiries relating to touring caravans, motorhomes, tents, caravan holiday homes for hire, along with associated administration.

Cleaning: - Toilet blocks (1 to 2) depending on demand. Caravan holiday homes for hire, including laundry, ironing and office to the highest of standards.

Park and ground works. General DIY and maintenance tasks, grass cutting using ride on mower, hand mower, strimmer, pruning, weed control and refuse collection. Ensuring the park is maintained to the highest of standards.

Evening Duties will cover late arrivals and check toilet facilities.

The successful applicants must be fit, active, friendly, honest and outgoing. Have excellent customer service skills. Previous experience preferred but not essential, knowledge of caravanning would be benefical. Must be extremely flexible and be able to work as part of a small team.

In return we would be offering an attractive package including salary, caravan holiday home with double glazing and central heating, laundry and wifi, in return for 5 to 6 days per week. To include weekends, bank holidays, late arrivals and evenings on call

Job Vacancy: Park Warden

We are seeking a warden with good building maintenance experience for a permanent and live-in position. The job is for one person but a couple would be welcome. The main duties are rental property and grounds maintenance as well as customer care. Evening duties will be shared between the successful applicant and our Senior Warden. Large, modern two bedroom lodge provided. Attention to detail and good record keeping are vital and ability to be in charge of the park on a regular basis must be demonstrated. Qualifications or excellent references must be available. The successful candidate must use their own vehicle for work (mileage paid).

Salary £22,000 - £25,000. Full time position, 2 days off weekly.

Duties:

Excellent customer relations, meet and greet, etc.

Practical skills in building maintenance (joinery & plumbing etc.)

Tidiness of hire fleet

Grounds maintenance skills

Gardening interest useful

Evening / night presence (4 nights a week average)
